FOLLOWING THE MONEY: A Look at Jewish Foundation Giving
Below is the list of selected foundations established by Jewish donors. These foundations were included in analysis for the forthcoming Study of Jewish foundation Volume 2 – 2012. There are two changes from the original list of foundations included in the Study of Jewish Foundations - 2007. The Picower Foundation closed as a result of lost funds held by Bernie Madoff and has been replaced by the Shimon ben Joseph Foundation. The Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Charitable Trust was also added to the list. The list represents the foundations of 50 Jewish donors, some of which divide giving into more than one foundation or fund. The total number of foundations reviewed is 56, including two foundations each for Steinhardt, Osher, Koret, Goldman and the Mandels.
The complete study will be made available later in 2012. To receive future summaries and publications, please click here.
